The reformer is an apparatus used in pilates that offers springs and straps as resistance. This piece of equipment helps clients to focus on the stabilization needed to perform pilates exercises correctly. 


Our classes are limited to 7 people, which means you get a lot of personal attention, and we offer a variety of levels from Beginner to Advanced, so there’s a class for everyone!



BEGINNER

The reformer is an apparatus used in Pilates that offers springs and straps as resistance. It helps clients focus on the stabilization needed to perform Pilates exercises correctly.


This class introduces people to the fundamentals of reformer, including how the mchine works, proper breathing patterns, and how to stabilize before the movement of exercise.

INTERMEDIATE


These classes area for an experienced client who knows all of the basic principles of Pilates, is aware of stabilization before movement, and is comfortable with how the reformer works, including how to change springs and use straps.


You should be comfortable with short spine, able to kneel, hold body in flexion, and ready to do more complicated movements.

ADVANCED


These classes are for those familiar with all beginner and intermediate exercises, such as kneeling, planking, short spine + roll over moves, teasers, etc.


You also must have no injuries and be able to transition quickly through each exercise.

FAQs

  • How do I book a Private Lesson or Duet Session?

    Privates & Duets are booked through the instructor. To get started, email Nadine (nadine@cheshirepilates.com) so she can connect you with the right person for your needs!

  • How do I register for a Pilates Class?

    Click the “LOG IN/SIGNUP” button at the top of the page to create an account in Wellness Living, our practice software. 


    Once you have an account, you can purchase a visit or package and then choose a class to attend. 

  • When do packages expire?

    Our packages begin expiring with the use of your first visit - not when you purchase them. This means you can purchase when it is convenient for your budget!


    For Class packs:

    • 5 PACKS expire in 3 months
    • 10 PACKS expire in 4 months
    • 20 PACKS expire in 5 months

    For Privates and Duets:

    • 5 PACKS expire in 3 months
    • 10 PACKS expire in 5 months
    • 20 PACKS expire in 8 months
  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • Classes can be cancelled, with no penalty, up to 4 hours before the scheduled start time.
    • Appointments (Privates & Duets) can be cancelled, with no penalty, up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
    • Any cancellation made after the 4/24 hour window has passed, and all no-shows, will be charged a late cancel visit.
  • Do you have a wait list for classes?

    Yes, our classes have a wait list. 

    • If a spot opens up, and you are next on the wait list, you will be automatically put into the class and notified.
    • If your circumstances change, and you are no longer able to attend the class, it is your responsibility to remove yourself from the waitlist  or be subject to a late cancel.
  • Do you accommodate injuries and special populations?

    • Yes, we recommend private lessons for specific needs.
    • We are very well versed in many issues such as Parkinson’s, MS, spinal issues, osteoporosis,  etc. 
    • If it is more of a minor issue, we can do a couple lessons so you know how to modify in class.
